Child safety and the status of kids in our society are the subjects of Pennsylvania Newsmakers show this weekend. Joan Benso, President of Pennsylvania Partnerships for Children, weighs in on the status of children, addressing education and health care needs. Howard Sheppard, head of the Pennsylvania State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation, talks about the Amber Program, the new state program to help recover abducted children. Benso and Sheppard are interviewed by Jen Rehill of Pennsylvania Public Radio and host Terry Madonna.
