Pennsylvania Governor Mark Schweiker provides his thoughts on the historic importance of these events. The Governor also will detail the steps he has taken to strengthen the state's homeland security. He will describe how the mining disaster at Quecreek turned out to be one of the most successful rescue missions in the state's history, and what he thinks the state and the mining industry must do to prevent such disasters from occurring in the future.
