Social Services React to the Budget

This week's Pennsylvania Newsmakers features a discussion of the cuts made in programs run by human and juvenile justice providers when the state legislature passed the Rendell budget recommendations. Bernadette Bianchi, Executive Director of the Pennsylvania Council of Children, Youth and Family Services, and Chuck Songer, Executive Director of Pennsylvania Children and Youth Administrators, outline the effect of the cuts on essential human services, whiled Deb Beck, President of the Drug and Alcohol Services Providers of Pennsylvania, and Michael Harle, Executive Director of Gaudenzia, describe the impact of the cuts on drug and alcohol programs. G. Terry Madonna, Director of Millersville University's Center for Politics and Political Affairs is host of the program, and Jen Rehill of Pennsylvania Public Radio provides commentary.
