Trial Lawyers Speak on Medmal, and a Tobacco Exec Gives His Side of the Story

This week's Pennsylvania Newsmakers features David Nicoli, Vice President for Corporate Communications, Altria Corporation, who talks about the restructuring of the parent company that owns C. W. Post, General Foods, Kraft, Nabisco, among other food companies. The focus of attention, however, is on the Philip Morris Company and the health effects of smoking, efforts to eliminate teen smoking and the possible tax policies of the Rendell administration. The second part of the show features Carol Nelson Shepard, a former President of the Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association, who provides her organization's perspective on the medical liability crisis.
